The Amazon Kindle perhaps took the market by storm, but the cover did not do exactly the same. In fact, the cover attracted a series of negative criticism and Amazon had to quickly come out with a new incarnation. Even that did not resolve all the issues related to the cover. Owners of the Kindle having invested a little pile of the money were obviously disappointed, or rather annoyed. The major issue had to do with the ability of the cover to hold the device in place. Some measures suggested to obviate the problems did not find the expected response from the owners. Amazon therefore is in the process of bringing in yet another incarnation of the Kindle Cover.

But, the Kindle owners have cause to rejoice. The inundation of complaints on Kindle covers has been picked up by some individuals as well as those in organized trade. As a result of this, much of the issues raised by the Kindle owners have been carefully addressed and the market today has a variety of quality covers for your Kindle. While these affordable and stylish covers are largely in pure leather, other variants like Neoprene are also available. Amazon too will shortly be in the market with an all leather executive case.
Primary function of the cover should be protecting your Kindle
Whatever option you choose, the primary function of your Kindle cover should be to protect the device. Additional features like slots to carry your cards, or other miscellany can be attractive. You should also ensure that the Kindle cover you choose has necessary cut outs for easy battery charging without having to remove the cover altogether.
