Kindle Sony Reader Reviews

Users of Kindle and Sony Reader have provided balanced reviews of their experience with the devices and the triggers that had them buy one or the other. The Sony and Kindle ebook reader deliver on the promise advertised.

Wireless capacity

The readers have commonly shared the view that the wireless capacity converts the street side bookstore into an obsolete outlet for purchase of books and magazines. The Sony and Kindle allow a quick browse, preview and purchase in a matter of minutes, almost a dozen in 2 minutes. Despite the initial expense on the reader, the users have found that it is cheaper than purchasing a hardbound book and also far lighter. However, the Sony and Kindle formats are not transferable which can be quite a problem when the two have good offers and the customer wants to utilize both simultaneously.

Decision making

Sony Reader allows for the customer to handle the device and play with it before making a decision. This is not so with the Kindle. However, the choice of books available at Amazon is much larger than the range with Sony. At times, each bookstore has a few books of a set which can make accessing the material a tough task. The academic material that can be downloaded from the bookstores is limited which means that academicians must weigh their options before making a purchase decision.

Relative advantage

Purchasing a reader can sharply reduce the use of paper in a host of places. Children can move away from carrying large books and use the reader as the lightweight option. PDF material can be read but not zoomed into view. The e-ink technology and paper like screen without the on-screen glare make for a comfortable reading experience. The black and white view does not deter the artwork that goes with the book which is important for stories that have pages of artwork to view with the text.
